2009 Welcomed in a new aspect to the Red Bluff art scene: First Friday Art Night.
So far only the Morrison Gallery and the Red Bluff Art Gallery have commited to the new venue and will be open every First Friday of the month til 8 pm, with new exhibits every month. But that is pretty good for a town that didn't have any art galleries three years ago. Now there are two and they are only a half-block apart.
While the annual "art walk" is a very positive art event, that affords a very limited opportunity to a variety of hobbyists and artists in Tehama County, a much bigger opportunity to share art and culture in Red Bluff is sorely needed. First Friday is an attempt to provide both artists and the community with an opportunity to mingle over refreshments and art - on a monthly basis.
The Red Bluff Art Gallery will be open from 11 am until 8 pm on the First Friday of each month.
